Consulting
Why hiring a EIFS consultant on every Synthetic Stucco job no matter how big or small is so important.
When the product first came out it was known as the barrier system which was designed to keep water out no matter the weather conditions. The problem was that no cladding can keep 100 percent of the moisture out 100 percent of the time, and with this first rendition of the product when moisture did get behind the system it was trapped. The product has advanced over the years and now has a very good drainage system.
Past Problems
The problems of the past are in the past, but then why is it still so hard to get an Exterior Insulation and Finish System project completed correctly? Well, there are a couple major reasons. The first being that the contractors have learned to do it the old way and are reluctant to change. The ‘I’ve been doing it like this for 30 years’ mentality. Another reason is that it costs more to do it the new way. Unfortunately, I believe there are a lot of contractors that know there is a better way, but are not doing that way so they can submit the lowest bid possible.

EIFS Stucco Consultant
If you are not hiring an Exterior Insulation and Finish System Consultant on every Dryvit stucco project you are wasting money. The repair costs for fixing problems down the road will be more than it would have cost to insure the project was completed correctly the first time. I think just about everyone would agree it is best to get the job done right the first time around.
Hurting the Industry
Having a large percentage of Exterior Insulation and Finish System projects not completed correctly is really hurting the industry as a whole and we are putting an end to it. Hiring an EIFS Consultant that is well versed in product procedures and over 28 years of hands on application experience helps prevent jobs being done wrong.
Peace of Mind
Hiring a consultant sets your mind at ease knowing your project is going to be done right and your contractor is going to do it with the new ‘next generation’ of the product. After all, you are paying good money for your project. It only makes sense to get the best job possible. It is surprising how contractors really do want to do the right thing, including all the employees, but they have fallen into a rut of cutting corners and skipping steps to save time and money on the jobs. They have been doing this for so long it has become the norm. The ‘norm’ has officially changed and things are going to be done right and by the book from now on.

Policing the Job
There are a lot of different ways to get something done and it is hard to say what way is the best and what is not, but there are obvious things that people try to get away with to save money. Having best practices and standards for contractors to follow is key. Once the contractors get in the habit of doing it the right way it becomes second nature and the process speeds up, and after some practice it does not cost that much more.
